Best Star Wars Aliens - The StarWars.com 10

In this installment of the StarWars.com 10, we’re picking the galaxy’s top alien species, from a teddy-bear tribe to the residents of Ryloth.
For this list, we're focusing on aliens from the Star Wars films, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels,
ranking them on design, impact, and cool factor.
10. Toydarian
With rapidly flapping wings, expressive eyes, and a bouncing snout, toydarians kick off our list as one of the galaxy's most unique alien species. With the exception of a certain junk dealer, they're actually a proud, noble people. Just remember, all you Jedi out there...
9. Gamorrean
Big, brutish, and quite often, not too bright, Gamorreans remain Jabba the Hutt's preferred security detail. Pig-like in appearance, they're intimidating and physically strong -- when they're not serving as rancor snacks.
8. Pau'an
Pau'ans, with their lined faces, red eye sockets, and jagged teeth, look almost nightmarish. And one notable Pau'an definitely is. But as half the population of Utapau, they're a welcoming community, and know the good guys from the bad.
7. Ewok
They're temperamental, think C-3PO is a god, and have a taste for roast scoundrel. But once you get to know them, Ewoks are brave, inventive, and tough enough to topple an Empire. These teddy bears definitely have some bite. Plus, they really know how to party.
6. Ithorian
Easily identifiable, Ithorians have two mouths, an eye-stalk, and overall cool aesthetic. They're seen everywhere from cantinas to the ice caves of Illum, and are also the only alien species to earn a popular, still-awesome nickname.
5. Twi'lek
From captive dancers to Jedi to ace pilots, Twi'leks are seen across worlds. Notable for their two long tentacles, the females are graceful, the males are formidable warriors, and the children are adorable.
4. Hutt
Slimy. Slithering. Slovenly. Hutts are impressively massive, slug-like creatures, and stand -- or lie -- as some of the galaxy’s largest sentient beings. For Hutt gangsters, their size is matched only by their immense greed and hubris – personality traits that have often proved to be fatal flaws.
3. Rodian
Featuring antennae, a snout, large black eyes, and green-hued skin, the reptilian-like Rodians are perhaps the most alien-looking of all the galaxy’s humanoid beings. While they’re well-known system to system, you may want to look elsewhere when hiring a bounty hunter.
2. Wookiee
Wookiees may be all those things. But they’re also loyal, affectionate, and sophisticated. In the end, whether in the Clone Wars or the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, we’d be happy to have Wookiee warriors at our side.
1. Yoda’s Species
The backwards way of speaking. The ears. And the mystery. With no known name, no known homeworld, and a look that could only come from the deepest reaches of a galaxy far, far away, Yoda’s species represents the surprises and wonder of the universe. While Yoda’s not the only one, there’s no other species like our little green friend’s -- and that’s why we rank them #1.
So what do you think? Did we overlook something? Did we nail it? Are we out of our minds? Comment and let us know!
