The time for Aloy has come!
We finally jumped on the bandwagon and started to build a costume from Horizon Zero Dawn, the Shadow Stalwart Heavy set.
It's definitely the most bad-ass armor in the game and a huge challenge for us!
Guess we really have to up our game for this one! This will be fun!
First up: the leg and shoe armor!

Welcome to part 2 of my Aloy cosplay making of!
This time I'm working on the belt and the hip armor plates of the Shadow Stalwart set from Horizon Zero Dawn!
Besides that you'll also see how we made the pouches and the quiver and arrows,
so hopefully this will be helpful for one of your upcoming projects!

As I mention in the video it's all faux leather (or vinyl), which I strengthened with buckram and volume vlies.
The combined weight of these pieces is around 5 kilos!

while Benni and his brother Jakob are building the headpiece!

IT’S DONE! After 3 months of hard work we’ve finally completed the costume! Yay!
In this 4th part of our Aloy videos we’ll show you how I made the undersuit and how Benni made all the glorious shiny armor!
Also thanks to your help last time we decided we wanna to build the Sharpshot bow! This will be in part 5!
Now I can’t wait to get the weapon done and finally go out for a nice photoshoot!

Every good costume needs a fitting prop! For Svetlana's Shadow Stalwart armor we decided to build a replica of the Shadow Sharpshot Bow.
One week for the 3D model and two weeks to print and finish it. This was a crazy sleepless ride but I'm glad we made it in the end!
Super happy how it turned out and this will definitely go up on our display wall later!
