(5E D&D) The Ballad of Loch Rannoch - Session Sixteen

    Livestream vor 22 Stunden
The party climbed the steps within the giant fortress to the second floor where they discovered a new type of undead, spectres.
Luckily, the party knew a great deal about these entities, and with some careful planning, they were able to survive the combat.
Beyond the hall, the group found a massive and ancient library, where two undead sat. The ghostly couple refused to so much as look at one another.

Kaz and Salem explored the books, and discovered a few warded, magical books on the shelves, while GiGi and Thomas bonded with the ghosts.
GiGi learned from the female ghost that the couple was responsible for the calamity. GiGi told her that the group was trying to undo the corruption in the shrine,
which should free the two ghosts from an eternity in uncomfortable silence. The ghostly woman needed time to decide if she wanted to help the party.
The ghost Thomas was speaking to opened Thomas's eyes to the dangers that women represented.
He even showed the little halfling the scar where his heart had been torn from his chest.
With new information, the party elected to rest the night before carrying on with their search.

(5E D&D) The Ballad of Loch Rannoch - Session Seventeen

      Live übertragen am 27.07.2018
As the party awakens, they find themselves in the frost giants' keep, the site of the second shrine of the Seven Sounds.
Unbeknownst to the party, Salem invoked the help of his revenant self. He asked for more power in exchange for the stone the revenant wanted.
When the party left their bedroom, they discovered the spectres they'd fought the night before were reforming.
This meant that their time before all the undead they they killed reformed was limited.
Prompted by his revenant self to destroy Thomas emotionally, Salem informed Thomas that women could indeed steal his heart
on a whim and that he was not good enough in the previous battle.

Kaz and GiGi spoke to the female spectre, and she said that she would help the party get to the shrine by rejoining her scroll scrap
with the male spectre's scroll scrap, which would break the barriers surrounding the shrine.
This would be payment for stealing the scrap from her ex and letting her have the last word in their long running argument.
The party, however decided to just tell her that her ex was missing his heart, physically, and that he thought she was responsible, to which she would likely respond.
While Thomas and GiGi did this, which worked by the way, Kaz went with Salem to retrieve the stone for the revenant.
Thomas and GiGi headed down to tell their friends that their efforts were successful, but found Salem handing the stone to the revenant.
A big argument broke out, the revenant left with Salem empowered, but the party's trust in one another was fractured.
