This is a 3 session mini campaign or "3-shot" for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition.
Join with me as I take experienced and new players alike through this short home brew series.
I've also included pro-tips for Roll20 and making your life easier as a DM!
Campaign Premise:
Beneath the city streets of Olstow are the ruins of the old aqueduct and sewer system slowly decaying into ruin through disuse and disrepair.
The canal system tapped into several lakes and rivers, diverting and regulating the flow into several nearby cities in need of water;
but as communities turned into villages, and villages turned into cities, they sought their own independent water sources—the aqueducts were emptied and forgotten.
These half drowned tunnels now house dangerous creatures and men of questionable character creating a dangerous second city underground.
The residents of Olstow are aware of the environment below, but many have opted to avoid contact with the area altogether.
There are sometimes violent incidents between Olstow and the aqueducts, but they occur infrequently, and rarely leave a lasting impression.
Lately, however, the city has been living in fear of what lies beneath; people have been disappearing almost nightly,
leaving behind nothing but a trail of blood and water from their residence to a nearby well or sewer entrance—pieces of bloody clothing,
sometimes containing pieces of bloody residents, surface days later.
The city guard is paralyzed with indecision as the people demand something be done about the situation.
You are one of five mercenaries that have accepted the contract to try and recover anyone left alive in the sewers
and have been promised a hefty bag of gold for doing so. The pressure mounts as the one of the guards leads you to one of sewer access lines...
